You will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of immigration in our programs. You have continually demonstrated sound judgment with a keen eye for details and tenacity for solving complex problems. You have proven analytical skills utilizing your knowledge of Canadian Immigration Rules and Regulations for comprehensive decision-making and providing the best advice. You are someone others look to for help to solve complex problems, bounce ideas off, and provide an alternate viewpoint. You thrive as both an individual contributor and team member, consistently taking accountability for results.

Key Accountabilities:
Adhere to Canadian Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Rules and Regulations along with related Operational Manuals, and Operational Bulletins. Maintain and update client records according to ICCRC and internal immigration policies.

Client Experience:
• Conduct consultation with clients on immigration matters such as education, work-related purposes, sponsorship, etc. with a high degree of professionalism in every interaction.
• Maintain the highest standard of immigration advice to clients.

Documents Drafting:
• Conduct Legal Research, interpret legislation, regulations, and policies then provide relevant interpretation and consultations with clients, partners, and internal staff.
• Deliver case-specific practices related to work and study permits, visas, health insurance, employment, cultural adjustment, and dependent and related issues.
• Create Requests for Information (RFI) under the Access to Information and Privacy legislation and write professional communication to the Visa Offices, Immigration Program Managers, and Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) regarding clients’ applications and intervene in cases where mistakes may have been made or where certain cases require special attention.

Administration:
• Manage timelines and case flow daily, updating appropriate internal team members regularly.
• Diarize and meet timelines/deadlines including due/expiry dates and other important dates.
• Maintain and organize Case Load
• Overseeing the billing process which includes checking client ledgers and reviewing invoices for approval
• Proactively keeping up to date with changes to immigration laws, regulations, policies/procedures, and application processing times

Skills & Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education, and Licensed Paralegal, or Certified Law Clerk
• Licensed with the Immigration Consultant of Canada Regulatory Council
• Candidate should possess 1+years of experience in Canadian Immigration
• Expertise in permanent immigration applications: Express Entry, Federal Skilled Worker, Provincial Nominee Programs, etc.
• Experience with temporary immigration applications: Intra Company Transfer Visa, Labour Market Impact Assessment, Global Skills Strategy
• Exceptional Client Experience Skills
• Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and research skills
• Thorough planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills with the ability to monitor and act on information based on comparative importance and urgency
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Advanced-demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

License/Certification:
• RCIC license and in good standing with the ICCRC (required)
